[English]2022-1 Undergraduate Admission Guidelines for International Students

[Nationality Requirement]
Applicants should satisfy at least one of following conditions.

a) Applicants holding foreign citizenship whose parents are foreign
(not Korean) citizens
※ Not eligible if an applicant or either parent has Korean dual-citizenship.
※ Taiwanese applicants are eligible even if one of the parents holds Korean citizenship.
b) An applicant must hold a foreign citizenship (not Korean dual-citizenship) and must have completed or expect to complete all his or her primary and secondary education (equivalent to Year 12 qualification in Korea) fully outside of Korea.

[Academic Requirement]
1. New Admission
High school graduates(or expected graduates) in Korea or overseas must hold or expect to have high school qualifications. As a minimum, an applicant must have a qualification considered to be equivalent to a Year 12 qualification (completion of high school) in Korea.

2. Transfer Admission (Year 3)
? Recognised Prior Study (Year 2 or Year 3 Entry)
Prior study can be recognised for applicants who have graduated or
expect to graduate with diplomas from recognised educational institutes.

? University Transfer (Year 2, Year 3 or Year 4 Entry)
An applicant could transfer to UOU from his or her current college/
university as below.
a) Bachelor degree or associate degree holder: Transfer to Year 3
b) Associate degree (only 3-year course) holder (only those who studied
at UOU for 1 year as study abroad student): Transfer to Year 4
c) Those who completed 2 years (4 semesters / completion of half of
the credits required for graduation) of a Bachelor course ? Transfer
to Year 3
d) Those who completed 1 year (2 semesters / completion of one
fourth of the credits required for graduation) of a Bachelor course ?
Transfer to Year 2

[Language Requirement]
Applicants should satisfy at least one of following language standards below.

a) TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) Level 3+
b) Intensive Korean Language Course 4+ at UOU Korean Language Education Centre
c) UOU-TOPIK(Test of Proficiency in Korean conducted by University of Ulsan) 60+

※ 79th TOPIK is the last exam accepted(Test : Nov 14, 2021) for the admission.
※ Students taking UOU-TOPIK or who completed Korean Language Course at UOU
Korean Language Education Center are not qualified for the starter scholarship and
are required to submit the official TOPIK Test Result+3 within 1 year after the admission.
※ All International students must pass official TOPIK Test Result 4+ in order to graduate.
